Does anyone have experience with a protocol that Powerhome supports other than Insteon and X10. I would like to take advantage of others experiences with a different protocol without having to do a test ride myself.

Lee,

Ive got a little simply through my testing and integration of the UPB PIM's. My whole house is primarily Insteon but I have incorporated 3 or 4 UPB devices into my setup so I wasnt wasting my test devices.

Overall, UPB has worked very well. Of course, Im not using it near as much as Insteon, but what I have used has been reliable. The switches are well made (more expensive than Insteon though) and have nice features. I have had no problems so far with UPB and Insteon interfering with one another but I havent actually tried and of course the UPB is used much less than the Insteon.

PowerHome of course has no problems working with both simultaneously so you would have no problems running multiple controllers if you wanted to play.

Dave.

Thanks Dave! That is very helpful information. I was hoping I could use UPB and Insteon together. Plan is to move to UPB but that will likely take a year or more and I'm not sure I will find equivalents to all the Simplehomenet devices in use.
