Has anyone used powerhome to program SmartLinc2412N? I bought a SmartLinc 2412N in order for my iPhone to control my InsteON devices. When add or modify light controls, I put SmartLinc into the programming mode and manually hold down a dimmer to link both devices. I am wondering if I can use powerhome to program SmartLinc.

Since no one else has responded and In the context that I have never used a SmartLinc, I doubt it. Powerhome can write the link records as all the Smarthome pluggable devices go through an internal PLM for powerline communication. However, that does not get the device(s) defined to the logic of the SmartLinc so I doubt Powerhome writing the link records would be of any use.

I do have a SerialLinc which Powerhome can write the link records into but they do not work as the remainder of the information that the SeriaLinc requires for each device is not written. I suspect the same situation would apply to the SmartLinc.

I have spent a fair amount of time to manually program my
SmartLinc. I don't want to use Powerhome mess up the work I have done. Maybe one day I will start over from scratch and report it back to this forum. Thanks for your reply, Lee.
