I'm thinking it might be nice to have PowerHome control
 Sage and vice versa.

I use SageTV with PowerHome but havent done any fancy integration yet. Basically Im using the DCC (Distributed Control Client) running on the SageTV server and have configured Control Center screens, macros, triggers, etc. to send commands to the DCC to relay keystrokes to the SageTV application. All in all, it works quite nicely so I havent expanded beyond that. A nice SageTV plugin for PowerHome would be a cool thing to have but is currently just a faint little blip on the radar while trying to get the next beta out.

Let me know if you want details on how I setup the DCC with Sage.

 Dave.

I use a usbuirt for both PH and my cable box thru beyondtv. When I
tried using it in the same manner with Sage, it worked with Sage but
not PH. It seemed that Sage would not 'release' the usbuirt to PH. I
haven't been able to get an answer to this issue on the Sage forum,
but it appears that at least one other person using Sage has a similar
 problem.

Either of you use the usbuirt with PH and Sage?

I am using MythTV and a USBUIRT with a hauppaghe 350 and it works ok have a odd link up with a powermid ir pyramid to transfer the ir to rf then to ir again. Seems to me like the usb uirt is good but you cant count on it 100%. Probably has more to do with the X10 powermid. sounds like ur set up is way nicer than mine but an interface or plugin of somesort to run over the network would be amazing .

The trick with USBUIRT is the spacing of it to the receiver. I run mine about 14 inches away and have zero failures. At one time I used X10 Powermids and found them to work about 85% of the time. They are notorious for generating noise and scatter. I’m not using Sage. I run IR over Coax.
