After I tick the box "load script server" under
Maintenance, Powerhome explorer, setup, preferences. Then
I reinit and get the script server error. I originally
though this was only an error for windows 7 x64 bit
users, but I just installed XP on a different computer
and still get the same script server error. I first
installed 2.1.2 and then unzipped 2.1.4 over the
powerhome directory which is C:\powerhome

So what is the fix for this? Is no one else running into
this problem? Not being able to run external scripts is
very frustrating because there are a lot of applications
for controlling things with scripts. So any help would be
appreciated.

I had the same problem. I think you need to manually register the new script server with the command: regsvr32 "c:\powerhome\ph_scriptserver.ocx".

Taylor,

Ivulpe has you covered. Running the regsvr32 command should eliminate the error.

Dave.

Taylor,

No,no...do this command from a command prompt. On Win7/64 you can do Start->Run and type it there or type cmd.exe in Start->Search and run it from the command prompt.

Hope this helps,

Dave.
