Just replaced a dimmer keypad with a new dual band model (2486DWH6 v5.7 1118, FW BB).

When I try to configure the buttons on the KPL Config screen, I get the following error when I double click on the device.

"Error reading data from KeypadLinc. Please try again."

Running Powerhome 2.1.4 with the I2CS Patch. Enable pending and Status scan are enabled.

Other (older) KeypadLinc work fine. And I was able to create links on this keypad with Powerhome.
It does show up as XXXX - New Insteon Device Type

Louis,

Unfortunately, this problem won't be able to be fixed until 2.1.5 is out. Even with the I2CS patch, the keypad button configuration won't work because the I2CS devices don't support the old peek/poke commands that the button config uses. I have to rewrite the KPL button config to also use the newer 2F commands for button config (these commands don't work on the older KPL's). So the KPL config will then have to determine the type of KPL and then use either the original peek/poke or the new 2F method. I wasnt able to integrate this in the patch because it required additional framework changes.

Dave.
