I just inherited a used Controlinc. The address label fell off. I could probably figure this out with time, but is there an easy trick to determining the address using PH?

Thanks!

answer - put the device in linking mode, do a manual link, and then loo at PH status.

(how do I delete the link, or do I have to?)

Jeff,

Another option is to place PH in "Auto Discovery" (Setup tab of Insteon Explorer) and then place the ControLinc into Link mode. Right after hitting entering link mode, take the CL out of link mode. Back at PH, you should see the address in the Log window of the Setup tab and you should have a new device auto created for you in the Devices tab (NEW DEVICE XX). You can now just rename the new device to match your CL.

Hope this helps,

Dave.
