Just browsing around comp.home.automation and found a reference to this. Sounds kind of intriguing, anyone played with one of these?

When Dave finishes his K8000 support project, we will have control over 16 digital input/outputs, 4 analog inputs and 8 analog outputs per card. (K8000 from Velleman)

Go go go Dave :-)

I actually ended up buying this:
http://www.phanderson.com/iom142/iom142.html
(IOM #142A Serial Relay Output / Optoisolator Input with Dual Runs to Multiple DS18S20/DS18B20/DS1822 Temperature Sensors. DS2438 Temperature and A/D Sensors,
DS2450 Quad 12-bit A/D and DS2423 Dual Counter)

It's got 4 relays (capable of up to 220v 10a), 4 opt isollated inputs, and inputs for up to 32 temp sensors (also humidity sensors, counters, and more) all for about $60.

Dave, maybe you need to release some kind of SDK so that we can start helping you with the drivers...
