Does anyone know of an X10 switch (Insteon would be better, but I haven't seen anything on SmartHome's site) that would look something like this? It could be either two toggle-type switches, two buttons, etc to control two loads. I have a ceiling fan and light that is controlled by something like this. One switch is for the light on the fan and the other is for the fan itself. I guess I would need one switch to be a relay (e.g. just on/off, no dim) and the other a dimmer, or just two relays. Is there a KeypadLinc that can control two loads?

I really don't want to make a mess and have to rip out the single gang box and install a dual gang box.

Thanks,

-Dean

I also would love to see a dual-load automated switch!

Until someone makes one, I think your best bet would be to use a multi-button keypad controlling inline modules for the fan and light.

Thanks Tony. Have you used any of the Insteon in-line modules? I'm trying to steer away from new X10 stuff and go with Insteon.

I'm using 2 inline modules for lights where the switch location was an end run (no neutral). I've put the inline switches in the box above the lights and control them from a keypad in a couple nearby locations. They work great. Software is really good for setting up these, as they are mounted inside the box.

Dean,

I would do like Tony and Cicero and go for the Insteon inline modules with a KeypadLinc. Im going to have to do this for one of my fan/light combinations since the bone-headed electricians wired the new house with every switch in a duplex for fan/light combo except for one.

Dave.
