I have a couple of request.

1. I have placed a floor plan of my house in bmp format on my Control Center and it looks great, but I would love to have the ability to create custom buttons in place of the standard ones. This way I could have little light bulbs, fans and so on that I could click.
2. I would also like to be able to transfer the look and feel of the Control Center to the Web page, I know this is a big thing but itĘs an idea.
3. Is there a way to prevent the web page from going to confirmation page every time I send a command out from the main page? It makes it hard to do a descent dim, maybe a drop down for the dim would fix that.

Thanks for a VERY robust & great program, expect my payment tomorrow

Opus,

1. Its being worked on It wont make the next release but will be coming shortly. This has been one of the most requested features.

2. Im looking in to this. The way Ive been investigating it however would not work the way you would like. I'll look into it and see if it would be possible from an HTML perspective using an image map.

3. Another popular request and this one should be in the next release. Look for it shortly.

Dave.

Dave,

I just updated to the new version and I wonder if any of the above items appear to be possible?

Plus I thought of a few other items:

1.  SMTP mail support, this would be great if the program could email me an alert when I'm at work.  This could be used with X-10 flood detectors or high temperature detectors.

2.  This one is a big one :)  Screen saver with definable display.  You could set the screen saver to display current weather, status of X-10, current CD playing, or even a digital clock.

Thanks again for a unbelievable program,

Opus

Opus,

I havent gotten to the point where you can place your own images or other controls on the Control Center yet.  However, the latest version should be able to give you something a little closer to what you want.  With this version you can create truly transparent buttons and place them over little icons in your BMP representing the images you want such as fans, lights, etc.  You can see an example of this in the Sample database in the QC tab of the Control Center.  If you just want to see a screenshot of the effect, it's in the manual and the screenshots page.

As far as the Control Center on a web page.  Well that hasn't been quite worked out yet either.  You can create your own dynamic web pages using PSP and would be able to create the effect yourself however.  Do you feel up to the task?   Actually, Im hoping to have something put together soon which will be moving us into the proper direction.

Number 3 on your above list should already be taken care of.

SMTP mail support is also available by configuring your MAPI client.  I use this feature all the time to send EMail to my cellular phone to let me know whats going on.  If you need help on setting it up, just let me know.

Screen Saver???!?!?  Hmmm...I haven't even considered this and don't know if it's doable or not as I know virtually nothing about dynamic screen savers.  Not saying that it can't or won't be done, but not making any promises .

Dave.
