Well I don't know if this is even somthing that you would be thinking of but it would be nice. I did not relize that the 8000 was serial and thought this would work. Thats what I get for thinking.

Well...it looks like it would be doable. It appears that they supply a nice DLL for interface communications (unlike the K8000 where I had to write the I2C routines from scratch).
It would be a little ways off however. It would definately be after Insteon, UPB, and CM15A.
So don't rule it out. It looks interesting enough that I'll put it on the to-do list.

I havent gotten anywhere with this yet . I still plan on doing it however, but it would probably end up in Q1 2007.

Sure missed that date didnt I .
If you've already got this device, I know that an xPL driver is available for it. With the new PowerHome xPL plugin, you should be able to at least control and read this device. The xPL controller is also in the works and will make this much simpler in the next version.
If you've already got an 8055, would it be possible for you test it's operation using the current xPL plugin?
