I have been playing with using ph_sendsmtpemail to send messages to my cell phone. The problem is, they come in kinda funny. I have a razor on t-mobile. It almost looks like the razor thinks there is some kind of multi-media attachment in the message. Is there a better way for PH to send SMS messages to cell phones?
Here's an example command I am using:
ph_sendsmtpemail( "smtp.east.cox.net", 25, "my@email.address", "757676####@tmomail.net", "No Motion detected", "No motion has been detected in the house for some time and the system is not armed. Dial the house number and when the answer machine message stops, press * * *, then follow the prompts.")

Check with your carrier. Mine (AT&T) has different addresses for SMS and MMS.

You know, I think I figured it out. I think my message was too long. I shortened the message and it seems to be working fine now.

I think the usual length limit is 160 characters, including a subject.
