I have mixture of x10 and Insteon devices. And two controllers (Insteon PLC and X10 Firecracker). As we all know the x10 devices are "send and pray". I don't get 100% success with my x10 devices so thought I might try a trick.
I'd like to set up macros for my x10 devices to send out the commands on the PLC, wait a second and then send out on Firecracker too (controllers are also in different parts of house). I figure this might improve reliability.
When you set up an x10 device in PH you set what controller you want for that device's commands. So how to send commands on both controllers?
One way would be to duplicate every x10 device - one for one controller and other copy on other controller and then set up macro with delay to fire through both. Just wondering if there is a more elegant way.

I notice that you cannot set up two x10 devices with the same address even if on separate controllers so that idea won't work.
I guess I could use something like the ph_x10 func which allows the controller to be specified. I'd have the address of my x10 devices defined in two places which is not great but would be workable.

You could also use ID's like "A8A" and "A8B", or "Living Room A" and "Living Room B" to make it easier.
Keep in mind, if it applies to your devices, that the Insteon PLC does not handle extended X10 commands correctly.
