I'm looking to use my Insteon motion sensor to alert
me when a car or person comes onto my driveway. I'm
thinking I can accomplish this with an I/O linc and
some sort of simple buzzer device. I know how I would
to do the coding in PH to accomplish this, but I'm not
sure of how to hook up the hardware.

I have used this buzzer before for other purposes
(https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LAYWUDO/ref=pp
x_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1), but I'm
hoping to find something that gives off either a
buzzing sound or other tone rather than this one that
sounds like a smoke detector or the Insteon siren
device that would scare us each
time it sounded. Volume control would be nice. Does
anyone have anyone know of a buzzer like this?

Also, how would I hook this up to the I/O linc? I'm
guessing I would need a power source for it since the
I/O linc wouldn't be able to power it on its own,
correct? I'm guessing I could rig something up with a
battery to make a circuit that the i/o linc opens and
closes to activate the sound?

Thanks!

You could hook up a cheap amp with a small speaker and TTS or/and whatever noise you would like. This is how I tell Alexa where to go.
