This might be a stupid question but I have 4 keypadlincs and I have not fond a way to capture somewhere in powerhome what is written on each button. Think of it like a group id for each device.

Without this I need to remember that button 8 on device HALLKEYPAD turns on the dining room lights. I totally understand that this can be derived from the links screen.

I assume what I am supposed to do is create a control panel screen for each keypadlinc that mirrors the device buttons. I started on this and gave in as it was more difficult than I expected. I assumed there would be predefined layouts for all the known devices in the powerhome database and I would just modify it. Kind of a template.

What have other people done?

Martlist,

Currently there is no way within PowerHome to define the individual buttons on a KeypadLinc.

I'll come with some default Control Center screens for both KPL's and ControLincs for users who are interested. However, they probably wouldnt be useful until I get the toggle buttons for the CC.

If anyone has any other ideas, I'd be interested in hearing them as well. Since it's impossible to "trigger" group commands on other devices (such as the secondary buttons on KPL's), Im not sure how useful it would be for a table to store the secondary button info. To simulate this, you generally have to create a PLC group to mimic what a KPL secondary button does and then I would just setup a PLC group ID to represent what the group does.

Dave.
