Is it possible to control a USB-UIRT device on a
remoteCC based PC? And if so how?
Background: I am running Powerhome 2.2 Beta 3-3, in
a headless server configuration on a windows 10 PC
that has its own USB-UIRT. A Second PC (my daily
driver PC) is running windows 10 with RCC running.
The second PC also has a USB-UIRT. Is it possible,
internal to Powerhome for the powerhome server PC to
remotely command the USB-UIRT on the Second PC?
I currently use DCC to sendkeys to other RCC machines
throughout the house to wake the display up. This
works well for PC’s that are dedicated just to running
RCC, but would have issues with extra keystrokes being
injected into my daily driver PC while I am typing on
it. So I don’t think that DCC would be a workable
solution (using sendkeys to run a macro on the second
PC).
The end goal is to be able from any RCC PC, on my
network, to activate a control center button that
remotely commands the USB-UIRT on the Second PC to
send predefined IR commands/ or run a macro that
commands the USB-UIRT (without sending key stokes to
the keyboard buffer).
Any help/insight would be appreciated!
