Attempting brevity. . . We have decided the easiest way to access the functionality of PH is through the web server.  For instance if we use IE and enter face=Times New Roman color=#0000ff http://ET:1234@127.0.0.1:8000/ph-cgi/playmacro?ID=TEST PH will run the Macro “TEST”.  (this approach sure beats the 5 entry point limit. . .).  But we are experiencing problems interfacing with our ATI remote.  IE won’t run minimized, and it leaves a copy of itself open each time you call it.  Can you suggest any utilities that will perform the required communication without having to be the foreground task?  (Like a command line kind of thing).

Bob,

You can download the PowerHome command line utility from the other downloads page.  This utility uses the web server interface and doesn't require IE.  It can be executed from the command line and allows you to pass in a Send Keys formula.  When done, it automatically closes itself.  Using your above example the command line would look like: phcommand.exe ph_rtne(ph_macro("TEST"))

Using this utility you won't be limited to just macros and will be able to evaluate any send keys formula.

Hope this helps,

Dave.
