You mentioned something about the difference between the Control Center's behavior as a function of "Windowed OR Background" setting.  So not knowing what to expect (or knowing what the differences might be) I read the PH pdf part on windowed and background and it didn't register, SO I went boldly into the Explorer and changed the settings. . . I don't see any difference.  Can you explain?

Bob

Under the Setup area of the Explorer, you can set the behaviour of the Control Center and the X-10 Status window to either Windowed or Background.  In windowed mode, the CC and Status are just normal windows that can be tiled, resized, opened, closed, minimized, etc.  In background mode, you don't have a title bar and can't minimize, resize, tile, or close the window.  It effectively acts as a "background" for other windows.  You can place other windows on top and immediately bring the background to the foreground by hitting the appropriate hotkey.  When a window is set to be a "background", you must reinitialize or reopen PowerHome to see any design changes.  It's just a matter of preference as to which you like better.

Dave.
