Damn Tony!!! It is dead.  It's been slow ever since the war started.

To keep your interest piqued, I'll let you in on how the next version is going.

1.  The Control Center is on the web!!  I knew you would like that one.

2.  Ive been playing with some PSP pages for WML content so I can control PowerHome from my cellphone.  I'll be incorporating these into the PowerHome webserver.

3.  The Email with file attachments is working great using either MAPI or SMTP.

4.  The SaveURL function allows me to query a web page and save it directly to a file.  This coupled with the file attachements in email allows me to send camera pictures to myself.

5.  Ive been playing with a graphics converter program called NCONVERT.  Its freeware and will convert graphics between formats and sizes on the fly.  What this allows me to do is now actually see my camera on my cellphone (Samsung SGH-S105).

6.  The Powerlinc is now implemented.

Well, hope that is enough to keep your interest up !!

Dave.

Tony,

All I can say is SLOWWWW.  Im trying to tie all the loose ends up as well as incorporate some functionality for other controllers.  The next release has some major database changes as well as a new version of the Adaptive Server Anywhere (this version of ASA will minimize to the tray).  Ive also converted the code to the latest version of PowerBuilder (9.0) which will require all new runtimes.

Since it is taking so long, Ive been thinking of putting together an interim release which may not include all of the functionality that I'd originally anticipated and follow that up as soon as I can with a maintenance release with the rest of the functionality.

I'll still have to put together a new installation package as well as a new database upgrade utility, so it wouldn't be anytime in the next couple of weeks .

I'll post an announcement shortly though if I decide to go ahead with the interim release.

Dave.
