Ok, here's a new one...

I have a TM751 on housecode A that all of a sudden (within a day) stopped responding to Powerhome macros and direct commands from the status screen (House Code A1).

It works fine via RF.  I have a CM11A on COM1 and the W800 on COM4.  Logs show the command going out via controller 1 (CM11A) over the wire.

For grins I turned on my fish tank lamp (an appliance module) that has sat on the same power strip as the TM571 for some time from the PH status screen and it worked fine.  Command went out over CM11A fine.

Do I have a bad TM751 on my hands?  Hard to think so since it works via RF.

I just hate it when something doesn't work!

Pete,

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but your TM751 is working as designed.

The appliance module on the TM751 can ONLY be controlled via RF.  Now the other RF transceiver (the RR501) can be controlled via both RF and powerline signals.  This is a well documented problem of the TM751 and has caused many an X-10er a headache.  Ido's site documents this (available on my links page) and you can see mention of it here: http://www.asihome.net/ovofx10wirre.html

Not sure how it was able to work previously but the way you describe now is the proper behaviour.

Hope this helps .

Dave.
