Hi guys,

I'm not sure of Powerhome has a plugin for this or if I'm looking for something completely different, in which case maybe someone can suggest something.

I'm looking for Access control software for a windows PC, that basically opens a Electric Strike Lock when access is granted. I've found several hardware solutions for the electronics I need, but was hoping for some good software to manage the users. Something simple and free would be great, but I don't mind paying for something if it's what I need.

Thanks for the help guys.

I am doing that with my Elk M1 and Powerhome. I am using the P-300 Farpointe readers and the small PSK-3 tags instead of the reader and huge tags that Elk provides.

Managing users from the keypad or the ElkRP software is straight forward. The reader wires up to the Elk keypad directly but if you want to control the status LED on the P-300 directly from the keypad output zone you need to convert the active high output to active low. I used a 2N3904 transistor but a small relay could be used.
