Ok, I am hoping to keep my x10 palm pads for sometime, seeing as Insteon only seems to have a remote that controls a few devices at a time, not up to 16 like X10. I'm wondering what the best way is to control an Insteon module with an x10 palm pad remote.

Most Insteon devices can be assigned an X10 address.

Another approach would be a Simplehomenet EZX10RF which receives X10 signals and issues Insteon commands in response. May have better powerline reliability using Insteon messages on the powerline.

Thanks Lee, I did not know they could function that way, but just found the full manual online. I'll give it a try.

Brian, I tried that approach for awhile and encountered various problems. So what I finally did was to setup an X10 trigger in that in turn activated my x10 devices. The result for me was better reliability.
