Any ideas on why the web CC does not function on PPC's? I'm using an HP rx3115 running Windows Mobile 2003 SE.

It looks like PocketIE does not support onclick for the span element!

Tony,
Yep...Pocket IE has limited support for CSS (which is used heavily by the CC).
In my own situation, I use an excellent third party browser called NetFront. This browser has full support for CSS as well as other features that are lacking in Pocket IE. I believe they have a free trial so I would definately check it out.
Dave.

Dave,
Thanks for that! I just downloaded NetFront 3.1, installed it, and I'm now a happy boy!
The CC is a bit big, though. I think I'll need to add a PPC tab. I don't suppose buttons can live on multiple tabs?

Tony,
Yeah, NetFront is pretty cool.
Starting with version 1.03.4.1, buttons can be on multiple tabs. You still have to create the button on each tab, but you're no longer limited like in previous versions to having a single button for a macro, IR command, etc.
You can copy an entire tab with it's buttons however and then rearrange them to fit for 320 x 240. You'll also see in the Control Center Design screen an outline for 320 x 240.
HTH,
Dave.

You still da man! I noticed the 320x240 area last night.
Maybe you should also add a landscape outline? Windows Mobile 2003 supports quick screen switching now.
I also noticed that the CC buttons don't work for me! Do they work for you?

You lucky dog!! Im stuck with Windows Mobile 2003 (not Second Edition).
I'll add the landscape version as well.
When you say the CC buttons don't work, you mean they do nothing when clicked? If so, I'll have to check mine when I get home. Im almost positive that they worked without a problem but will verify tonight.
Dave.

Yes, when you click them, they do nothing (even though it now displays properly).

Tony,
I checked it out and they worked fine on my system. I did notice however that the NetFront Browser only registers the "onclick" event when you click on the actual text, not just the "button" (unlike IE).
I did some testing and tried changing from the "onclick" event and actually using an "<a href" tag instead. This continued to work in IE. It also worked in NetFront but still only made the "hot" area the actual text. It also added the hyperlink underline to the text. As an added benefit however, it also worked for Pocket IE even though it still doesnt display properly.
Let me know if it still doesnt work for you (even if you click the text itself). I'll keep playing around with it and see if I can find a way to make the entire "button" area clickable.
Dave.

Ah! Click the text! Yes!
Is there a way we can specify the text size?

Concerning the text size...not yet. The text size uses the same text size as the client Control Center. When I add the additional elements to the Control Center design (text size, font, etc), then those settings will automatically come into play for the web-based Control Center as well.
However, I'll look into adding a CSS to the CC so that you can override the default values.

Sounds good. I can adjust the text size in NetFront, but, it's a pain because everything else gets too big.
