Out of the blue my X-10 commands are not being executed right. there is about a 6 second delay before I even see the outgoing commands after running a macro or even from device status. I have a spare CM-11A and I even tried it Same thing. Any Ideas? Swany

Swany,
Could be interference on the line. The first thing we want to do is rule out any PowerHome delay.
I would enable all of my logging if you have any disabled and then create a macro with a couple of X-10 commands. The first should send the housecode/unitcode and the second should send the housecode/command. Open the PowerHome status screen and then launch the macro from the macro dropdown below the menu. You should see the events show up in the realtime log almost instantaneously. First the macro, followed by the first X10 command and then the second X10 command.
After doing this, how long did it take for the light to react? Did any other events appear in the log that might indicate that PowerHome started doing something else (triggers on X-10 out that might be firing macros or formulas that are taking a long time, etc.)?
Let me know the results are we'll try to get it solved.
Dave.

Dave,
I run powerhome status window behind my control center, and I can see the event log as I enter comands. the event log shows the macro execute instantly and there is a 6 second delay before I see any outgoing X-10 command then a 6 sec delay before the next. (ie. house code unit code then 6sec command on). wierd you mention interference because that might just be it. my commands are running fine now? no delay? And I have not done anything? And I have not pluged in, turned on, or added any electronics or appliances? I ruled out the christmas lights, Radio station, dimmer packs, light board because they are on now, and have been on and off for about a week with no problems. That is why I was thinking controller, but now it IS working. Don't know Why or what changed. Swany

swany, I used to have that issue with noise on the line. I found out that my CM11A was too close to the fusebox. Found it by accident, when I tried to listen to an AM station. Whew!!! lot's of static. since then I have moved my x10 computer to the other side of the room.

Heh, Im glad it's working now. I hate problems like this.
In any event, like Don stated...a lot times problems like this are the result of noise or interference on the line. Very difficult to trace sometimes.
