I did a search, but couldn't find any mention of this - does PowerHome support the TI103 PLC? I'm moving to Insteon, and PowerHome looks like the best option for this, but I'll still have a bunch of X10 devices running off the TI103.
Thanks!

Jim,
I had never heard of this device so had to look it up.
Apparently it's an X-10 (compatible anyways) controller much like a CM11A or PowerLinc RS-232.
The bad news...PowerHome does not provide any support for this device.
The maybe good news...If you are moving to Insteon and plan on purchasing an Insteon PLC controller, this will be capable of sending and receiving your necessary X-10 commands. It will not send or receive Extended commands (if you're using those) and I will say that the X-10 support does not seem to be as reliable as a full X-10 controller. YMMV though. For standard X-10 including preset dim commands (since this is what Insteon devices in X-10 mode support), the Insteon PLC seems to perform a fairly satisfactory job.
HTH,
Dave.

Darn, guess I'll have to pay to upgrade HomeSeer and wait for their Insteon plug-in to be debugged. I've found the TI103 far more reliable than the CM11A, and have heard that the Insteon PLC does a lousy job with X10; that it's recommended that separate PLC's be used for X10 and Insteon.
Consider this a feature request . I've heard great things about PowerHome's Insteaon support. I'm not a big fan of HomeSeer, and am looking for an excuse to move to something else...

Heh, I can say that PowerHome's Insteon support is definately the best out there currently .
I'll look into the TI103 and adding support. I'll post back shortly and give you an estimated timeframe after I peek at the protocol.
Dave.

Sure, threaten me with the competition and then butter me up .
Ive found the protocol. It's not terribly complicated, but not explained very well either. I'll try to work it in along with the CM15A support. You'll have to be the beta tester though since I don't have this device .
