For some reason, I can't seem send commands to my X10 units from PH via the PLC.

If I look in the log, and I use an old X10 pad, I can see it is seeing on/off commands, but my X10 lamp module will not respond from the palm pad, or the device status or macro screen.

Do I have to do something to configure the PLC to send X10 commands?

Fasttimes,

X10 should be supported without any additional configuration. Just need to make sure that you use the Insteon DM controller ID that you defined in the Setup section of Controllers.

When sending X10, take a peek at the Device Manager log. You should see "SendX10Raw" commands. If you see the commands in the SDM log and your devices are not responding, then there may be a communication error where your X10 signal is being absorbed. This appears to be a common problem with the Insteon PLC.

Let me know what you find out and we should be able to get it going.

Dave.

As reported elsewhere on this board, the insteon devices really absorb X10 signals. My x10 was working fairly reliably until I started adding Insteon wall switches. With just 2 insteon ICON switches, most of my x10 devices would no longer respond to my Insteon PLC. As a work around, I'm using a firecracker transmitter to send X10 RF signals, which get put on the PLC by a TM751.
