Dave:
When I entered my PowerHome registration number the following occurred.
- It Processed. Thank You.
- After Exiting and Restarting it asked for a Registration Name
- It then stated I had 30 days left of my trial
- My Devices, Global Variables, Macros, Formulas were lost
Not too big of a deal (It will take about an hour to get back most of what was lost). I definitely will be further along in 30 days though!
Please let me know how I can resolve.
Thanks,
Brandon

Dave will respond but I'm not sure if he monitors the forum on a daily basis. There is a support email id that may get to Dave more quickly. Some things to look into.
All the Powerhome stuff, devices, macros, triggers, etc are located in a single file pwrhome.db in the database subdirectory. Some folks make a copy of this file along with the pwrhome.ini file in the powerhome subdirectory periodically for backup purposes.
The registration number (and maybe the process) is different depending on whether PH was purchased from Smarthome versus directly downloaded. There is an old post about the difference somewhere. No idea if that could lead to the results you have.

grif091:::
it looks like this has something to do with Vistas User Account Control (UAC) settings.
When I log on with UAC off I get the trial version of PowerHome. When I login with UAC on I get the registered version.
I document more shortly.
Thanks,
Brandon

I don't run Vista (I do but that is not where PH runs) but I think Dave recommended installing PH in C:\powerhome rather than the normal default location it would normally install on Vista. I don't think it was related to this symptom though. Sounds like the path is different. You can probably copy the pwrhome.db to the path that is active when UAC is turned off.

Sounds like the registration may have been entered into a different DB. I run Vista and Win 7 and have run with UAC on and off. The only thing I found was you need to make sure it runs under Administrator. The other item I check is the Compatibility Mode XP. Check your path for the DB in pwrhome.ini. If you change the paths from the install defaults this may also have been lost.
