A timeout occurred while waiting for CM11A Controller
X10-1

HELP HELP HELP I'm GOING NUTS WITH THIS THING

I am getting ready to go away for a couple of months so I
thought I would fire up an old X10 Video Camera to watch
over things while away.

I have a V11A Video to USB adapter that required me to
install X10 Drivers, which I did. It worked and I was
able to get a crummy out of focus bad colored picture
into my computer with VLC Capture ''

Now for the bad news. My CM11A will no longer send
cammands.

I have done all the ususl stuff like unpluging the CM11
from the wall and the computer, disabling and reenabling
the com4 port, uninstalling it, rebooting about 20 times,
disconecting my active phase coupler, and finally
upgrading to 2.1b.

NOTHING HAS MADE IT GO AWAY!

Today has been a day when I have succeeded in:

IF IT AINT BROKE, FIX IT TELL IT IS

Does anyone know of a driver for the V11A Video to USB
adapter that wont mess up the serial ports by loading
drivers for other x10 junk?

most likely is that you have static on the powerline. The source can be any electric appl. in the house. Even a powersaving-lightbulb e.g. The best you can do is search systematicly what can be the source...

good luck
