Here's a request for you...
I find it too easy to delete things. If I'm working on PowerHome when I'm tired (which is almost always), I get a little lazy with the mouse. This is dangerous, as I have inadvertently wiped out entire tabs by hitting the "delete" button.
Is there a way to force a confirmation of this command?
Also, is there a way to allow a copy of entire screens for the control center? I find it a lot of work to have to create all the buttons, etc. manually, when I could import them from other screens with similar buttons.

Sorry, JPC. I understand the problem, but I can't agree with your suggested solution. I've been a professional programmer for 33 years, and I can tell you that confirmations don't work. The human mind soon learns that the next automatic step immediately after delete is to hit enter, click yes, whatever. I can still remember that friends face when I typed "format", "y". I was trying to format a diskette, but his harddisk got in the way.....
The solution to this problem is an undo function. Dave, Please don't waste your time and clutter up the user experience with comfirmation dialogs that don't work anyway.
Thanks! Tom

Tom:
OK, I stand corrected. I agree with this; an undo (preferably a stack of multiple undos, not just a single one) would be best.
Therefore, I change my request... I just want a way to keep me from easily destroying hours of work with one wanton click.

There is already an Undo function in the PH explorer. Maybe it's easy to add to the CC?

JPC,
I'll look into what I can do for multiple undo's. Also, as Tony indicated, you do have an undo in the PowerHome Explorer yet most people don't realize it's there.
If you're working in the Explorer and you accidently delete something, halt everything and press the F8 key. Don't change or close the PowerHome Explorer screen as an automatic save will occur. As long as you don't hit F5 (Save/Refresh), change the right hand window (for example from Macro Header to Macro Detail), or close the Explorer, you can "undo" ALL changes to the current screen with the F8 key (it's on the toolbar as well).
It's not as nice as the multiple undo function but will save you from those silly mistakes that we're all prone to make.
Dave.

Dave:
Thanks for the info... that'll get printed out and tacked to the wall right next to the monitor . I have also taken to following my Microsoft Office rule, which is to "save early, and save often"... I make a copy of the database file, especially when I do something that seems earth-shattering.
