I have a PLC Group "All Lights" All devices have this group in them. I have another plc group "Midnight Snack" Path to kitchen is lit with dim lighting".

A Powerhome trigger is fired when a button on a keypad is pressed for firing "Midnight Snack" PLC Group. If I press the that button again all if fine. If I press my "All Lights Off" button the lights go out but the Device Status for "Midnight Snack" Group is still on.

I know I could have my "All Lights Off" button/trigger fire a macro to turn off PLC Groups "All Lights" and "Midnight Snack" but is there a better way to do this. At this point I don't even care what the status of the group is... In fact if I could hide "Midnight Snack" PLC group from DS that would be great.

Thanks
Len

I think you can just set the Control Only flag for it in the Insteon Explorer, Devices tab.

Try this.

For your All Lights Off trigger make the trigger Action Type Raw Formula and your Action ph_insteongroup("All Lights",19,0) + ph_insteongroup("Midnight Snack",19,0). Now your All Lights Off button should turn off both the All Lights group and the Midnight Snack group.

Brady your suggestion works. It saves a cpu cycle or two by not using the macro. :)Thanks.

Tony,
I read that somewhere too but PLC groups are not listed in IE Devices Tab. It would be nice to prevent it from showing up in Device Status. A checkbox in the plc group tab would make sense.

Anyone know the status of the new beta?

Oops.

You can use the Filter field (enter "N" for this example) in the Groups tab and then, in the Device Status screen, click on Filter and type this: filterval not like '%N%'.

I've tried this, and I enter my Noshow filter value and it wipes them out everytime I hit save/refresh

Hmm. I've heard others speak of this, but I've never seen it.

I had the same problem with the Noshow filter. One way to hide Groups from a previous post by Dave:

“To keep the Insteon groups from showing in the Device Status screen, set the filter to "type <> 6" without the quotes. This will keep the Insteon groups from showing.”

Thanks... That does work and is good to know. But I don't want to filter out ALL of the PLC groups. I want a few to stay like my "ALL LIGHTS" group. Hopefully this bug is fixed in the new version.

I may have found a way to filter a particular Group. Using the name only in the ID window of the Group you want to hide and add this filter and replace the xxx with ID. ID NOT= 'xxxxx'

Pete... This works and is a usable work around until the PLC Group filter is fixed.
Thanks
