I’m trying to position on an asterisk using     POSW( "[LOCAL1]", " * " ) but it is not making a match. What code trick do I need to use to find it?

Pete,

The code you posted has spaces between the qoutes and the *. When I pasted this into a test macro, it didn't work.

When I removed the spaces it did work.

Thanks Brady… Interesting, when I removed the leading blank it worked. I thought the data had a blank as 1st character.

Thanks for your help….
