Hey all,
I recently moved everything to a Windows Home Server box
-- everything is generally working fine. I had to get a
USB to serial adapter for the PLM, and that has worked
well.
One problem that I'm having is that the PLM seems to stop
responding. I typically let PH poll (60 sec) and every
device shows COMM failures, and the insteon log is filled
with NAKs. I'm aware when this happens because PH stops
responding to triggers.
This happens about once a week, but haven't pinned it to
a specific schedule. A PH reinitialize seems to fix it.
Any ideas on the problem? I never had this issue on my
old machine, but also didn't need the USB to Serial
adapter.
Is there a programmatic way to reinitialize?

What driver and version are you using for the adapter?

It's a Prolific USB to Serial Comm Port adapter, driver is dated 4/29/2011 v 3.3.17.203.
I guess I could buy a new USB PLM (though would prefer not to :)) -- it's one of the first PLMs they made, so don't know if the firmware is old or known to have issues with USB adapters.
