I found this while researching/playing with JavaScript to overcome my PDA's apparent problem with rendering transparent iframes. It's code that allows an image (as from a webcam) in a page to be updated. What I mean is that the graphic is reloaded independently from the rest of the page. It seems to be a way to to get "streaming" images out of a static-image server.
